“Grave City” was a Stick Men with Ray Guns‘ song. (And this blog has interviewed members of Stick Men with Ray Guns here and here.) Grave City is a blog about all that I find worthwhile, interesting, and noteworthy in the Dallas music scene. I’m mainly a poet.
I write for other print and digital media under my own name (Oliver Sheppard) and pseudonymously. This space, however, is for stuff that’s relevant mainly to the North Texas area that might not find a home in publications with national or statewide audiences.
Personally, I don’t want Grave City to follow the new media trend of everything being a Gawker-esque/TMZ-esque drama-fest the way other local Dallas digital music rags have become or devolved into, which try to clickbait people with promises of scandal. Grave City is about the music, the bands, the djs, and what is positive about the dark music scene that is happening in the Dallas area.
